Faced with daunting financial problems, struggling engineer Tom Jeffers and his adoring wife, Gerry, find themselves with their backs to the wall. And then, after a chance encounter with a benevolent deus ex machina, Gerry decides to forget all about her vows and a little thing called love to get a divorce in the best place this time of year: sun-kissed Palm Beach.
