During the night, Kitty (LYNNEA BENSON), a tormented dormitory girl, gets up and jumps off a window to her death, without an intervention from Nurse Stevens (REBECCA ROTHBAUM) and a Guard (MARK LEGAN).Paige (NATALIE O'CONNELL), a bosomy brunette with curly hair, lives with recurrent flash-back images of her rape by her father, Mr. Garfield (DAVID MLOTOK). She escapes home The girl marks down a newspaper ad calling for actresses for a "beneficent movie", walking through Times Square, New York, to a photo shoot. She passes a theater which has "Bubblegum Girls" and "Teen Strippers" up on the marquee. She felt the sleaze coming down at her from the casting office walls and the way Mr. Roland asked her to strip off her clothes. Next he calls Jack - a stud that was reading a magazine in his shorts in the next room - to do a scene with her, but they are interrupted by two Vice Cops (DICK BIEL and JONATHAN BUTNAM).Marina (TERESA FARLEY), a pretty Hispanic with an Afro-style hairdo, was with her Puerto Rican boyfriend Paco (JEFFREY IORIO; also combat scenes choreographer) when he is buying drugs from a couple of punks. The young man gives the alarm, and runs away, followed by Paco, who leaves the white powder in Marina's hands. Two Narcotic Agents (ALVIN HIPPOLYTE and BEN LIZZA) raid the derelict building and arrest the punk girl and Marina.Lori (CAREY ZURIS), has a sad face and blonde hair cut short, and is sentenced into detention because she committed murder. She had sex with her boyfriend Billy (SANDOR BLACK), in his car, only to see him get out and invite two friends - Ray (RYAN SEXTON), and Paul (SHAWN CARROLL) - to take her after he adjusted his trousers. First she tried to fight Ray off her, then she took a pistol from the glove compartment and shot Billy down, as he stood by the driver's door, watching her being screwed by his pal.The three girls eventually meet in the derelict New York Female Juvenile Reformatory. Don Beach (RICK GIANASI) is the concerned social assistant, apparently not as effective as he should be against a malevolent director, Miss Madison (MARITA). Before leaving the institution Doc goes unnoticed to the basement, where he first watches a girl sniffing drugs, and then Lori and five girls taking a shower in the nude.Lori is at the cafeteria when she's approached by the dark redhead queen-bee Lisa (JENNIFER DELORA) who loves to bitch, bully, and brawl, and her assistant, Rebel (DONNA ESKROW aka DONNA ESKRA), the archetypal white bad blonde. Lisa looks at Lori from head to toe, stares at her, and says, "You've pretty eyes."The juvenile girls in this detention dormitory come in all sizes and racial combinations, but all have in common the regulation uniform (sleeveless white T-shirts, blue jeans, and sneakers) and all look tough and mean, especially the trio of heavy, bull-dyke types: Dottie (KATE McCAMY), Deke (PARRI SHAHMANESCH) and Lenka (CATHRYN BISSELL).Some couples are formed at the cantina tables, out of love or friendship: Jen (JANE DONADIO), the small breasted curly virgin, arrested for prostitution with her pal Barb (FRANCES RAINES), with long and dark brown hair; Eula (RENATA COBBS), a beautiful black girl who cares for Gloria (SHERRY HOARD), a pregnant black girl.Rebel (DONNA ESKROW, or ESKRA), bumps into Marina (TERESA FARLEY)'s shoulder, and then throws abuse at her. The dark Latina snarls, "Don't make me get up. If I do, I'll be twisting some tits!" Of course Rebel dares her to, so Marina stands up from her table, and in a quick move wrenches Rebel's ear-ring off, tearing the left ear lobe in the process. The blonde screeches in pain, and punches the dark girl under the breasts. Cheered on by the other girls, they fall in a tangle and roll on the floor, then on top of a table, until they square up again, face to face, and Marina delivers a straight punch to the jaw that KO's the blonde.Paige strips for the drug addicted Doctor DeMarco (DAN BARCLAY), and entices him to have sex with her in the infirmary, while in a near-by cell Rebel does the same with Tom (MARC UMILE), one of the guards. Marina and a handsome black guard, Zulu (DAVID SOTOLONGO), also have passionate sex in the nude. The girls are using their bodies to get protection from the men, that will eventually prove necessary.Rebel is keeping a lesbian relationship with nurse Stevens (REBECCA ROTHBAUM), a slim woman, to get drugs from her, and with the queen-bee Lisa, whose toughness she admires.During visiting hours, Paco gives a small revolver to Marina, for her to hide in the dormitory, as part of a plan to assault the premises and rob the stocks of drugs stored in the infirmary.Valeska (CHARMAGNE ECKERT), a silver blonde, with lose hair to her waist, entices a guard (MARK LEGAN) into a dark corner, and gives him a blow-job (scene cut in some versions).Doctor DeMarco, under the effect of drugs, forces Jen to have sex with him, and the girl hangs herself afterwards. When the news is passed in secret to Barb at the factory yard, the girl has a hysterical fit, and her companions feel sorry for them.A party is organized by Miss Madison, attended by the girls and their boyfriends, including Paco and others - Roland (HARVE SOTO) and Jack (LANCE BRETT). Many of the girls end up dancing lasciviously to lyrics like "Innocent pearls can change to bad girls", but mostly the girls dance with each others. Some are taunting the male guards, to which Zulu is the first to respond, though he is stopped by the frozen stare of Miss Madison.McCoy (WILLIAM PETERSON), a mustachioed guard, pinches Lori's bum, and is slapped by her. Miss Madison is dumb enough to believe the man's false report, and sends Lori to the solitaire cell, with a brunette guard, Sperrazza (DEBRA LESTER). McCoy follows them, and when his female pal goes away, he enters the cell and rapes Lori, while Stevens watches them from a peep-hole, and climaxes with the scene. Afterwards, McCoy leaves, and Lori goes for a nude shower, despite there is a Big Guard (TOM BILLETT) using the facilities himself. He respects her, though. Stevens injects herself with more drugs.Queen-bee Lisa (JENNIFER DELORA), a curly dark brown hair inmate, defies Harper (RACHEL HANCOCK), a blonde guard of Amazonian proportions, with a large mane of curly blonde hair tied in a bun, to a one-on-one fight. No reason is given for the fight. The two women lock themselves in a basement warehouse, and exchange hard slaps, followed by body punches. They don't try to protect themselves, on the contrary, they hold each other close by a good grab on their hairs with the free hand, and they trade blows to the head, but most to breasts and belly, alternatively, except for a short grappling on the cement floor. When both are too exhausted to continue, they fall apart and agree to postpone the fight.Then Lisa goes in a killing spree. Angel-face Rebel entices Valeska to the basement under a false pretext, and Lisa strangles the silver blonde from behind with a piece of wire, cutting off her throat.Paige is forced by Miss Madison to meet with her father at a city restaurant. She starts talking with him, but soon the memory of what happened between them is too strong for her to keep quiet, and she starts denouncing his past actions in a loud voice, disturbing the customers, one of whom asks quickly for his bill (CHUCK MURDOCH), and leaves before the lunch is served, under the astonished stare of the Waiter (JOHN ABBATO) and the Counter Lady (MARIE LOFFREDO).Gloria has her baby in the basement, in secret, with the help of one of the guards - Tom - and her friends Eula, Marina and Paige. The baby (LOVELL DIXON) is going to be hidden before the escape attempt planned by Paco and his gang.Rebel calls Paige to the top of a staircase, where Lisa attacks her. Paige is so dizzy from the first blow to her head that she can't fight back, and is thrown down two flights of stairs, breaking her neck in the fall.Lori meets with the Big Guard, and lets him know the strange goings-on she has witnessed, and the fake suicides to mask Lisa's killings. They make love, to assuage her pains (off camera).The revolt erupts. First two, then a number of girls attack the female guards, and both the strong Sperraza and a small brunette (CAMILLE VALIDUM) go down without almost no fight.Harper goes after Rebel and Lisa, and they find themselves alone in the warehouse. Lisa defies Harper to fight to a finish, this time with the added spice of doing it in front of her lover, Rebel. Harper throws away her service truncheon, accepting a fair duel. It is a long, and brutal fight, in which the guard's advantage of size and weight prevail, exacting sadistic pain with repeated crotch kicks delivered by her heavy boots. Lisa is beaten senseless against a brick wall, under the stare of Rebel, who doesn't move until the butch guard walks away. (The character of Harper is not shown again in the film, creating the possibility that her death, eventually by a treacherous attack by Rebel, was cut before the movie's release.)Meanwhile, another triangle gets untangled in the basement. Paco has come to free his woman and battles with Zulu, both armed with heavy wooden stick and truncheon, respectively, under the eyes of Marina, who is holding Paco's gun. Zulu looks like he is going to be the winner, but Paco hits him in the crotch with his stick, the black guard is paralyzed with pain and falls to his knees, then he is clobbered senseless. Paco sadistically breaks Zulu's skull when he is defenseless on the ground, and when Paco goes to embrace and kiss Marina, she shoots him the belly.Tom is helping Gloria to escape with her baby, helped by Eula and Barb. Suddenly they found the escape route closed, and another guard stands between them and the route back. Barb is holding a shot-gun, and she shoots this guard, aiming at his crotch, thus opening way for their escape.Rebel first joins the revolt, then comes back to the basement, and helps Lisa to come back to her senses, and then they go upstairs together.Lori (CAREY ZURIS) gets a shotgun, kills McCoy and confronts Stevens, Madison and Lisa in the infirmary. Stevens is going to say that the one behind the drugs scheme inside the dormitory is the doctor, when he shoots her in the chest. Lori immediately fires at DeMarco, killing him, too.Madison goes forward, to grab Lori's arms, and Lisa suddenly picks up from under a bed a murderous looking primitive weapon, a big wooden club spiked with large nails. Lori is doubling over, trying to regain control of the heavy shot-gun, and Lisa strikes to her head. Lori is straightening up to face her, and shoots from below, at close range, taking her full in the chest and projecting her lifeless body back. Then she finishes blonde Miss Madison, again with a shot to her chest.The next scene, at the prison's cafeteria, creates a full circle. Rebel brings a New Girl (MAGGIE WAGNER), a pretty black haired girl, to Lori, who is sitting at the place where the late queen-bee used to sit. Lori looks the new girl from head to toe, stares her eye to eye, and says, "You've pretty eyes."
