The Killing Games (2012)

Action, Horror, Thriller
Nick Zedd
In the beginning, it was a beautiful day. A couple walks through the woods and the man proposes to the woman who then accepts before offering to have sex with him on camera on the dirty grass. Two men, one named "Dirty Jesus" the other named "Son of Satan" come and threaten before murdering the man and sexually assaulting the woman (who is also killed). Elysia, the alleged daughter of Birdman, sees this occur with her friend. The killers chase after the two and capture Elysia's friend. Birdman, an old white redneck who lives in a dilapidated shack, is celebrating his 49th birthday. His wife is currently in a coma, and he feels very sad about it. His Metis friend senses that Birdman's daughter is in danger, and they both pray for her safety. The Metis man proceeds to play a song for Birdman's comatose wife for exactly 10 minutes, before leaving. During the song, footage of the two killers is interspersed with them bragging about their previous victims who were their relatives. While this is happening, a group of gangsters decide to work together to steal a briefcase, but the plan goes sour when the robbery victim's prostitute takes out a knife and tries to kill one of them. Both the prostitute and robbery victim are murdered, and the gang leader becomes angry at his subordinates. Birdman's daughter eventually returns and Birdman stays up all night to protect her. Pierre, the hooligan nephew of Birdman who has slept with Elysia before, comes and visits stoned out of his mind talking about a story involving a little child swinging around a limbless decaying torso. The charming and lovable Drake Edwards (played by the very sexy Barry J Gillis), asks Birdman to help him tow his broken down car that Drake's girlfriend is sleeping in. Drake Edwards discusses with Birdman on the way to his car his dreams of becoming a news broadcaster and how Birdman wished to be on television as well but gave up that dream long ago. They hear on the radio that two men were arrested for murdering a banker, and immediately assume that these were the two men that Elysia spoke of. Drake, his girlfriend, and Birdman return to Birdman's shack feeling relieved that the murderers have been caught. Meanwhile, the leader of the gangsters proceeds to try to get to Birdman's house (who is an old friend of his) to hide out from the police. The gang leader proceeds to kill every single one of his colleagues excluding Leon/Liam. The gang leader meets the Metis friend of Birdman and has a change of heart, talking about his deceased pupper before giving the man twenty dollars. Birdman's girlfriend(?) Juanita who has barely been in the movie up until this point and strangely looks exactly like Birdman's daughter Elysia, threatens Birdman's wife that she will receive the insurance money when Birdman's wife dies. The doctor of Birdman's wife, who just wants to go out of the house and get a drink once in a while, visits Birdman's wife and confesses his love to her. He then proceeds to update Birdman and his family on the wife's condition. Juanita overhears this and kills Birdman's wife by suffocating her with a plastic bag. The Metis friend of Birdman feels her death spirtually, and plays a song for her funeral. Birdman tells Juanita and Elysia that he needs to collect the rent of the people that live in his extra shack which is also dilapidated. They arrive and it is revealed that the tenants are none other than Dirty Jesus and Son of Satan. They proceed to kidnap and kill Juanita, before assaulting Elysia and making Birdman watch. Birdman has his head smashed into a car repeatedly by Son of Satan. Thankfully, the gang leader arrives with Leon/Liam to save the day by killing Dirty Jesus. Elysia finds a shotgun and blows Son of Satan away. It is revealed then that Birdman was not actually Elysia's father, and that it was actually the gang leader. Drake Edwards is shown successfully getting a job as a weatherman and giving a shout out to his homie Birdman. The movie ends on a shot of the gang leader and Elysia embracing.
